Panel Discussion - Sexual Violence Against Men and Boys: Breaking the Silence
23.03.2017 18:00 – 20:00
Sexual violence is a burning issue in the humanitarian response, but what is the impact on men and boys who are victims of sexual violence? Stigma, homophobia, and traditional gender roles make reaching male survivors especially challenging. In this panel, leading experts will discuss emerging approaches to reaching male survivors of sexual violence.
The panel will include an open discussion with the audience, followed by a reception.
The Secretary-General at ICRC, Yves Daccord and the Swiss Agency for Development Coordination will deliver opening remarks.
