Hamiltonian truncation: numerical approach to strongly coupled Quantum Field Theory

19.05.2017 14:15 – 15:00

There are not too many techniques for computations in strongly coupled QFTs. Here I will describe the Hamiltonian truncation (also known as Truncated Spectrum Approach)— adaptation of Rayleigh-Ritz method familiar from quantum mechanics. It s a method not as widely known as it deserves. It may be of interest in condensed matter as well as in high energy.
