BioInnovation Day 2018: A day dedicated to Innovators and Investors in the fields of the Life Sciences

BioInnovation Day is a technology showcase and partnering event that provides investors and industry representatives the opportunity to learn about the most innovative life sciences projects originating from academic institutions in Western Switzerland and to directly interact with the most prominent and entrepreneurial academics of the region. The target audience (around 200 participants) include regional and national actors in life science innovation across all fields:

- Academic researchers
- Scientist-entrepreneurs/start-up founders
- Technology scouts/licensing staff from pharma, biotechs or medtechs
- Venture Capitalists
- Angels and family office representatives
- Expert counsel (Academic technology transfer staff, patent attorneys, regulatory and business consultants, etc.)
- Incubators and federal and cantonal innovation support bodies

The program features 37 presentations of licensing and start up projects, a panel discussion with leading players in venture capital and strategic investor communities, presentations with legal, intellectual property and financial support tips for entrepreneurs, as well as a talk from a successful biotech company Selexis.
