Jones’ representations of R. Thompson group F and their spectral measures (Valeriano Aiello, UNIGE)

In the last few years Vaughan Jones introduced a construction that yields unitary representations of the Thompson groups, some of which provided an unexpected connection to knot theory. In this seminar I will talk about the spectral measures associated with Jones' representations of F.
