Finite Temperature Effects in Dark Matter Production
14.12.2018 12:00 – 13:00
We discuss the possible impact of finite temperature effects such as thermal masses and phase transitions on the dark matter abundance. We discuss in particular three effects: 1) the breaking and restoration of dark sector symmetries in phase transitions; 2) the modification of production kinematics due to thermally modified masses; 3) the enabling/disabling of production channels in phase transitions.
