Relativistic effects in the observed 3d galaxy power spectrum

30.04.2021 11:30 – 12:30

Upcoming LSS surveys will soon probe for the first time scales comparable to the Hubble horizon, requiring a relativistic gauge-invariant framework to correctly interpret these measurements. In my talk I will present the formalism to include all the relativistic effects in terms of the Yamamoto power spectrum estimator considering a realistic survey geometry. The understanding of the behaviour of relativistic effects in a realistic cosmological survey will be crucial to study the possible degeneracies with other cosmological parameters, in particular the amplitude of the primordial non-Gaussianity fnl. Moreover, this analysis will naturally account for wide-angle and evolution effects. Therefore it allows testing the accuracy of different approximations currently adopted, such as the wide-angle expansion and the effective redshift.
