Brane Black Holes

03.11.2022 14:00 – 15:00

Recent studies of black hole evaporation have revived interest in braneworld holography as an efficient (and sometimes the only) way to incorporate quantum backreaction effects. In this talk, I will first show how to construct exact black holes on branes that are AdS, flat and dS, and then use these solutions to investigate novel properties of quantum black holes. In the second part of the talk, I will describe how the dynamical evolution of an evaporating black hole can be solved using braneworld holography in the large D approximation.
