Cosmology Journal Club on Friday 14th

14.11.2025 10:15 – 11:00

Dear all,

we warmly invite you to join us on Friday, November 14th, at the usual Journal Club time (10:15 a.m.) in EP234 for a talk by Dr. Alireza Talebian (IPM, Tehran, Iran).

TITLE
Dual Peaks in the Primordial Power Spectrum: Combining Gauge Field Instability and Ultra-Slow-Roll

ABSTRACT
This talk presents a model where a rolling axion drives inflation. A Chern-Simons coupling generates an initial peak in the power spectrum from gauge fields. This production ceases during a subsequent Ultra-Slow-Roll phase, which creates a second, distinct peak. The model predicts a strong scale-dependence and non-Gaussianities with multiple peaks, providing a rich phenomenology for primordial black hole and gravitational wave production.

Best regards,
Antonino and Alberto
