Moment estimates for regenerations in RWRE in the absence of a zero-one law (Noam Berger, Einstein Institute of Mathematics, Univ. Jerusalem)

We show that in the absence of a zero-one law for directional transience, the regeneration times do not have a second moment. This is done in the hope of eventually obtaining a proof for such a zero-one law.
