Canonical bases of quantum groups (Jacob Greenstein, UC Riverside)

In this talk I will define a canonical basis in the full quantized enveloping algebra corresponding to a symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebra and discuss its properties, such as its behavior with respect to the braid group action and its relationship with an explicit description of the center (based on joint works with A. Berenstein).
