Gravitational wave generation in dark energy theories

04.06.2021 11:30 – 12:30

The big challenge in describing dark energy as a dynamical field is that we do not see any sign of it in local tests of gravity. Moreover, all the gravitational wave events detected so far are in very good agreement with General Relativity predictions. In this talk, I will introduce an old proposal to overcome this dichotomy and I will present our recent results in testing it in realistic scenarios using numerical relativity.
