Real spectrum and mapping class group (Marc Burger, ETHZ)

In this talk we will discuss properties of the mapping class group action on the real spectrum compactification of Teichmueller space. We will explain the main features of this compactification, namely that it dominates Thurston's compactification, its relations to actions on trees and to geodesic currents. Joint work with A. Iozzi, B. Pozzetti, A. Parreau.
