«Pharmacotherapy Care for All Types of Patients: At the Verge of Impossibility»
Between-patient variability in drug response is a major clinical challenge, often leading to cases of adverse drug reactions or lack of therapeutic efficacy. Dealing with such variability across patient subpopulations effectively within the framework of model-informed precision dosing (MIPD) requires sufficient patient characterization compatible with predictive systems pharmacology modeling platforms. This chapter examines existing and novel patient characterisation approaches, and the tools and models required to implement stratified and individualised precision dosing in clinical studies.
