Khovanov homology of positive links (Léo Mousseau, UNINE)

16.04.2026 14:15

Abtsract: In 2000, Khovanov introduced a homology theory for links whose graded Euler characteristic recovers the Jones polynomial. This so-called Khovanov homology is a powerful link invariant (e.g. it detects the unknot). In this talk, we will see how Khovanov homology provides an obstruction to a link being positive, and that it can detect fiberedness among positive links. This is based on joint work with Marc Kegel, Naageswaran Manikandan, and Marithania Silvero.
