Mirror symmetry and branes on the singular locus of the Hitchin system (Ana Peón-Nieto, Université de Genève)

18.04.2018 14:30

The moduli space of Higgs bundles provides a model for mirror symmetry in the sense that Hitchin systems for Langlands dual groups are SYZ mirror partners. This materializes through a Fourier-Mukai transform which can be physically interpreted as a correspondence between categories of special subvarieties of the respective moduli spaces called branes. In this talk, after giving the basic definitions and results, I will explain how to cover the singular locus by BBB-branes and give conjectural dual BAA-branes. This is joint work with Emilio Franco (U. Porto).
