Growth rates of RACG's and RAAG's are Perron numbers (Alexander Kolpakov, Université de Neuchâtel)

In this talk we shall prove that spherical growth rates of right-angled Coxeter group (RACGs) and right-angled Artin groups (RAAGs), with respect to standard generating sets, are Perron numbers (apart from easily classifiable exceptions). An analogous result holds for their geodesic growth rates, which have been less studied. We shall also speculate what happens for other generating sets than standard ones, and how many geodesics on average represent an element of a RACG/RAAG. This is a joint work with A. Talambutsa (Moscow).
