NeuroTech Talks - Non-invasive Brain Interfaces

29.09.2021 18:00 – 20:30

Beyond the science behind these applications, the seminars will focus on the personal, entrepreneurial challenges coming with the clinical translation of advances in neurotechnology. Speakers will share their career paths, the choices that brought them where they are today and their advices for PhD students and researchers seeking a future in the medical device industry.
The session chair, professor Silvestro Micera, head of the Translational Neural Engineering Lab at EPFL, will introduce the speakers:
• Daniel Månsson, CEO of Flow Neuroscience, using brain stimulation combined with psychological treatment to fight depression.
• Olivier Oullier, former President of EMOTIV and co-founder & chairman of Inclusive Brains, using BCI to enable paralysed patients to work in the digital job world.
• Quentin Soulet de Brugière, CEO and co-founder of Dreem, whose headband is designed to improve patients' sleep.
