Yang-Mills, Gravity, and the Double-Copy Connection

24.11.2023 14:15 – 15:15

Scattering amplitudes in Yang-Mills theory and in gravity have a rich internal structure. I review this and linear relations inside them. I also review the double-copy connecting Yang-Mills amplitudes to gravitational amplitudes. I show examples of practical applications of the double copy, in the context of supergravity and in the context of gravitational waves. I discuss some of the novel tools used in the search for additional structure and relations.
