The summer school focuses on assistive technologies aimed at maintaining good health and quality of life for the ageing population.
It addresses the increasing challenges posed by physiological limitations and the need for innovations supporting elderly individuals.
The course covers theoretical foundations, design considerations, and ethical aspects related to assistive technologies. Through lectures, case studies, debates, and group work, participants learn about various assistive technologies, data sensing, ethical considerations, and best practices in designing and implementing such solutions.
The program emphasizes interdisciplinarity, collaboration, and end-user participation, adopting a human-centered design approach. The course, taught in English by academic experts, incorporates use-case and project-based learning, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical implementation experience.
