Mini-course: An introduction to the exact WKB method Part I

21.02.2024 16:15 – 17:00

In these two talks, I want to present a well studied approach in physics called the exact WKB (Wentzel–Kramers–Brillouin). The WKB approximation was used to study the ordinary differential equations appearing from physical systems and approximate their solutions. Later, inspired by the resurgence, the exact WKB method becomes an active field. The power of it is to produce an actual solution starting from a formal asymptotic series which can be solved term by term from the ODE.

In the first talk, I will introduce concepts including Stokes phenomenon and Borel summation.
