3 things to know about Open Access before submitting your article

Rendez-vous de l'info scientifique. You are about to submit your article to a scientific journal or plan to do so soon. Are you aware of the requirements of your funder or institution? How can you meet them and still publish in the journal of your choice? And if additional costs or steps are necessary, how can you anticipate and cover them? This short presentation will take a closer look at these questions and will offer you concrete ways to publish without any hitch.
Open Access publishing at no cost thanks to UNIGE agreements, in 15 minutes

Rendez-vous de l'info scientifique. This short presentation will review the agreements concluded by the library allowing UNIGE authors to publish in Open Access at no or low cost. After a presentation of the context and the conditions of their negotiation, the agreements in force as well as the conditions to benefit from them will be presented. The participants will thus have the keys to evaluate whether their next publication could be published in Open Access, with a (complete or partial) coverage of the costs.

Rendez-vous de l'info scientifique. Despite the numerous subscriptions offered by the Library, some articles remain inaccessible unless you pay to access them. Some tools such as unpaywall allow to quickly locate an accessible version of the article if it is present elsewhere on the web (for instance on an institutional publication repository), and to immediately access the pdf in one click.
