Scales in Holographic 2d CFTs

06.11.2025 13:30 – 14:30

In this talk I will discuss ideas for constructing 2d CFTs that can serve as holographic duals to gravity in 3d. Depending on what gravity dual one wants to model, such CFTs have to satisfy various conditions, such as existence of a large c limit, sparseness, or factorization of the correlators. Here I will focus on scales in such theories, such as the mass scale, at which the first primary appears, or the string scale, at which Hagedorn growth starts. I will present an example of an orbifold CFT that has gap 4, that is, whose mass scale is twice the AdS scale.
