Hamiltonian dynamics and AdS/CFT bulk reconstruction across the horizon of an extended AdS black hole.
17.09.2026 14:00 – 15:00
We discuss the dynamics of a scalar field in the presence of a non-rotating extended black hole in asymptotically AdS spacetime. We discuss gauge fixing and the notion of time across a time slice that matches with the time of the CFTs on the boundary of AdS. We solve the scalar field theory within regularised effective field theory that leads to `bulk reconstruction' formulas that are smooth across the horizon, thus. generalising the HKLL construction.
We show that the bulk Hamiltonian that evolves the scalar field is a well defined Hermitian operator that is expressed entirely in terms of the gauge invariant modes of the dual generalized free fields of the entangled CFTs associated with the two asymptotic AdS boundaries. Our method enables our main results to be carried over to the $d>2$ case.
