Strontium titanate (SrTiO₃) displays a rich interplay between lattice dynamics, structural instabilities, and quantum effects. In particular, it undergoes a temperature-driven tetragonal-to-cubic structural phase transition, accompanied by a pronounced temperature dependence of its soft phonon modes. In this talk, I will show how machine learning potentials can be combined with the stochastic self-consistent harmonic approximation (SSCHA) to efficiently account for anharmonicity and quantum fluctuations and obtain temperature-dependent phonon dispersions. This approach enables us to follow the evolution of the relevant soft phonon modes, providing physical insight into the lattice dynamics of SrTiO₃ across a wide temperature range.
