Resurgence of topological string theory: from elliptic curves to Calabi-Yau threefolds (Simon DOUAUD, LPENS, Paris)

In this talk I will discuss recent developments in understanding the resurgence structure of topological string theory. Resurgence theory organizes the large-order asymptotics of perturbative amplitudes in terms of non-perturbative data. This data is encoded in the singular behavior of the Borel transform of the perturbative series, which is described by non-perturbative trans-series whose instanton actions correspond to the locations of the singularities. It has been conjectured that this non-perturbative data is entirely governed by the spectrum of BPS D-branes of the target space and their BPS invariants. I will first review this conjecture with an emphasis on the wall-crossing of the BPS invariants and on the frame dependance of the trans-series. I will then present evidence for this conjecture by studying the resurgence structure of topological string on three classes of target spaces: elliptic curves, local Calabi-Yau threefolds, compact Calabi-Yau threefolds.
