Space-Time discretization of traffic flow Mean-field game model (Amal Machtalay, EPFL)

We explore a multi-class traffic model and examine the computational feasibility of mean-field games (MFG) in obtaining approximate Nash equilibria for traffic flow games involving a large number of vehicles. The obtained MFG system is challenging for different reasons, among them, the non-smoothness of the solutions, the high nonlinearity of the MFG system in addition to the large-scale computations.
