🎤 Psychological Research for Effective Altruism :
As students aiming for research, how can we plan our career to do the most good ?
If you're both compassionate and analytical, learning about effective altruism is likely to have a great impact on your career outlook. Shiva Pauer, PhD, is coming to Geneva on November 5th to share his expertise on the topic.
His workshop is designed for psychology students (at bachelor, master, and PhD levels) who are considering a career in research.
Although the primary focus is on academic psychology, students from neighboring fields (e.g. economics, social sciences) are also welcome.
More concretely, he will provide you with tools and novel ideas to help you think your career.
Shiva is a researcher in social psychology who investigates attitude and behavior change as well as decision-making related to effective altruism. He focuses on the psychological dynamics involved in societal challenges, such as meat consumption, climate change, and artificial intelligence.
Don't expect an abstract talk – it will be clear, accessible, and include hands-on activities.
