Etna: Reading Landscapes, Risks and Heritage in a Volcanic Region

This 5-day field course explores Mt. Etna as a living laboratory where geology, heritage, and policy converge. Participants examine volcanic landscapes and hazards, see how societies adapt in high-risk environments, and relate field observations to global frameworks on risk, heritage, and sustainability.
The program blends hands-on fieldwork with interdisciplinary insights to build practical academic and professional skills.
